Abstract
Peripheral hospitals are essential for ensuring fair access to healthcare, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. This review examines their effectiveness in delivering vital medical services, engaging communities, responding to emergencies, and aligning with national health goals, such as Saudi Vision 2030. Using peer-reviewed and policy sources, this paper highlights the contributions, challenges, and policy implications of peripheral hospitals in improving public health and service efficiency.
