Abstract
Foundations of Nursing Quality: Defining Standards for Patient-Centered Care Establishing strong quality standards remains the cornerstone of patient-centered nursing practice. High-quality nursing extends beyond clinical competence to encompass psychological, emotional, and educational support, forming an essential bridge between medical procedures and patient understanding. This multidimensional role becomes particularly evident during health crises, where nurses operate under intense pressure while still striving to maintain individualized, compassionate care (Hossain & Clatty, 2021; Yavas & Ozerli, 2023).
