Abstract

Traditional intangible music heritage plays an important role in cultural inheritance and public art education. This paper explores in depth the philosophical underpinning of traditional intangible musical heritage and how it can be integrated into public art education, with the aim of increasing awareness and respect for this cultural heritage. The research is based on literature review, case studies and expert interviews. In the basic part of philosophy, this paper starts from the cultural identity and identity, and discusses how traditional music carries the unique cultural identity and identity of the community and becomes a symbol of cultural inheritance. Secondly, the perspective of historical inheritance and continuity explores how traditional music connects the past, present and future, perpetuating the historical memory of society through generations. The aspect of social interaction and community emphasizes that traditional music creates opportunities for social interaction in the community, promotes social cohesion, and builds a sense of community. Finally, the conservation and Dissemination of artistic traditions explores how educational and cultural activities can protect traditional music while spreading it and ensuring its continuity in contemporary society. In the part of integrating into public art education, this paper expounds the ways of integrating traditional intangible music heritage into education from multiple perspectives. Curriculum design and textbook development is an important part of it. Through the development of relevant courses and textbooks, students can have an in-depth understanding of music forms in different cultural backgrounds and cultivate cross-cultural artistic literacy. Arts activities and workshops provide opportunities for students to experience traditional music first-hand, promote interaction with traditional music, and enhance their musical skills and emotional experience. The interdisciplinary approach to education helps to integrate traditional music with other disciplines, providing students with a broader perspective of knowledge. The application of digital technology can break through geographical restrictions, present traditional music to a wider audience, and promote the dissemination and sharing of traditional music. In conclusion, this paper emphasizes the importance of the philosophical basis of traditional intangible musical heritage for cultural identity, historical inheritance, social interaction and artistic tradition. Integrating this heritage into public art education can promote cultural inheritance, multicultural understanding and the development of artistic skills. However, achieving this goal requires many efforts such as curriculum design innovation, community cooperation, and the support of digital technology. Future research could further explore educational strategies for different traditional music forms, as well as effective ways to protect intangible cultural heritage in the context of globalization.
