The Influence of Cubism on 20th Century Abstract Art: A Comparative Analysis of Visual Language

Abstract

Cubism and abstract art play an important role in promoting the development of art in the whole world, and there is a certain correlation between the two. It is necessary to conduct in-depth research on them, summarize their commonalities and differences, and serve as the basis for art research and improvement. In this study, based on the perspective of visual language, this paper explores the influence of cubism on abstract art in the 20th century, analyzes the origin, development and characteristics of cubism and abstract art, establishes targeted theoretical research models, analyzes the differences in visual language between the two from different perspectives, and obtains corresponding enlightenment, providing strong support for the study of art development history and the development of modern art.
