Hong Kong cinema is an important component of Hong Kong culture and an important witness to Hong Kong's history. As a British colony, Hong Kong's British rule had a profound impact on its society, culture, politics, and other aspects. Hong Kong films, as a form of cultural expression, depict the historical narrative of Hong Kong during the British rule, reflecting the changes in Hong Kong society and cultural diversity.
