Abstract

This paper delves into the profound relationship between religious literature works, cultural absorption, and language proficiency advancement. It begins with an introduction of the research background, highlighting the significance of religious literature in cultural inheritance and language learning. Through a comprehensive review of domestic and international research, it points out the existing gaps. The cultural connotations in religious literature are analyzed, covering mythological legends, religious rituals, doctrinal concepts, as well as religious beliefs, moral and ethical values, and life philosophies. The influence mechanism of religious literature on language proficiency is explored from aspects such as vocabulary expansion, syntactic structure, rhetorical devices, and thinking modes. Moreover, practical paths for language learners to absorb culture from religious literature and enhance their language skills are proposed, including intensive reading, cultural background exploration, translation, and creative practice. Case studies of specific religious literature works, like "The Scarlet Letter," "One Hundred Years of Solitude," and "The Muslim's Funeral," further illustrate the connection between cultural absorption and language proficiency improvement. This research provides a holistic understanding of religious literature and offers practical guidance for language learners and cultural researchers.

Abstract

Atherosclerotic disease significantly impacts patients with type 2 diabetes, who often present with recalcitrant peripheral ulcers. The angiosome model of the foot presents an opportunity to perform direct angiosome-targeted endovascular interventions to maximise both wound healing and limb salvage. A systematic review was performed, with 17 studies included in the final review. Below-the-knee endovascular interventions present significant technical challenges, with technical success depending on the length of lesion being treated and the number of angiosomes that require treatment. Wound healing was significantly improved with direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty, as was limb salvage, with a significant increase in survival without major amputation. Indirect angioplasty, where the intervention is applied to collateral vessels to the angiosomes, yielded similar results to direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty. Applying the angiosome model of the foot in direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty improves outcomes for patients with recalcitrant diabetic foot ulcers in terms of primary wound healing, mean time for complete wound healing and major amputation-free survival.
