Abstract

Prabhata Samgiita Gharana embodies a notable musical lineage that integrates innovative melodic expression with robust foundations in Indian classical music. It is distinguished by its novel methodology in melody creation while preserving profound ties to the ancient raga framework. This study examines the functioning of melodic innovation within this gharana and the impact of classical influences on its musical structure and aesthetic character.

The melodic innovation in Prabhata Samgiita is evident in the adaptable application of swaras, innovative raga amalgamations, and emotive lyrical creations. This tradition permits a level of experimentation, allowing composers and performers to investigate novel musical possibilities, in contrast to rigid traditional frameworks. The melodies are frequently uncomplicated yet profoundly expressive, rendering them accessible while preserving artistic sophistication.

The impact of Indian classical music is distinctly apparent. The raga system functions as the essential framework, guaranteeing that the compositions adhere to conventional standards. Classical talas and rhythmic frameworks are employed, albeit occasionally modified to accommodate the expressive requirements of the compositions. The equilibrium between tradition and innovation fosters a distinctive musical character for Prabhata Samgiita Gharana.

The study further emphasizes how this musical genre incorporates emotional depth (bhava) and spiritual essence into its tunes. The aesthetic experience encompasses not just technical excellence but also introspection and spiritual sentiment. Prabhata Samgiita is both musically intricate and philosophically significant.

In conclusion, Prabhata Samgiita Gharana exemplifies the perfect coexistence of melodic originality and classical influence. It safeguards the legacy of Indian classical music while incorporating unique aspects of melodic expressiveness.

Abstract

Atherosclerotic disease significantly impacts patients with type 2 diabetes, who often present with recalcitrant peripheral ulcers. The angiosome model of the foot presents an opportunity to perform direct angiosome-targeted endovascular interventions to maximise both wound healing and limb salvage. A systematic review was performed, with 17 studies included in the final review. Below-the-knee endovascular interventions present significant technical challenges, with technical success depending on the length of lesion being treated and the number of angiosomes that require treatment. Wound healing was significantly improved with direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty, as was limb salvage, with a significant increase in survival without major amputation. Indirect angioplasty, where the intervention is applied to collateral vessels to the angiosomes, yielded similar results to direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty. Applying the angiosome model of the foot in direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty improves outcomes for patients with recalcitrant diabetic foot ulcers in terms of primary wound healing, mean time for complete wound healing and major amputation-free survival.
