Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the influence of college English education ideas on the enhancement of national philosophical and cultural identity, so as to promote the cultural identity of individuals and society. In the era of globalization, cross-cultural communication is becoming more and more frequent. College English education plays an important role as a platform for cultivating cross-cultural communication competence. National philosophical and cultural identity, as an individual's sense of identity to their own national culture, not only affects individual mental health and social cohesion, but also reflects the improvement of national soft power. However, under the background of globalization, how to integrate national philosophical culture into college English education to enhance students' cultural identity has not been fully discussed. This study first analyzes the relationship between college English education and national philosophy and culture. Then, it expounds the concept and significance of national philosophical and cultural identity and its impact on individuals and society. Then, this paper discusses the strategy of integrating national philosophy and culture into college English education, including integrating cultural elements into teaching content, cultivating cross-cultural communication ability, guiding famous quotes and cultural values, and cultivating interdisciplinary integration and innovative thinking. Through empirical research and case analysis, this paper selects a specific university case to analyze the practice of integrating national philosophy and culture into the English education of the university, and investigates the degree of students' identification with national philosophy and culture. The results show that the strategies and practices of college English education play a positive role in promoting national philosophical and cultural identity. Teaching content integrated into national philosophy and culture can enhance students' cultural self-confidence and cultivate their cross-cultural understanding ability. In addition, the guidance of famous quotes and the teaching method of interdisciplinary integration also help to stimulate students' innovative thinking and deep cultural identity. However, this study also found that the situation is different among different universities, and some schools still have room for improvement in integrating national philosophy and culture into English education. To sum up, college English education thoughts have a potential positive impact on promoting national philosophical and cultural identity. In order to further promote the development of this field, issues such as the formulation of educational policies, the design of teaching materials and the strengthening of teacher training can be deeply discussed in the future, so as to achieve the optimal effect of college English education in enhancing national philosophical and cultural identity.

Abstract

Atherosclerotic disease significantly impacts patients with type 2 diabetes, who often present with recalcitrant peripheral ulcers. The angiosome model of the foot presents an opportunity to perform direct angiosome-targeted endovascular interventions to maximise both wound healing and limb salvage. A systematic review was performed, with 17 studies included in the final review. Below-the-knee endovascular interventions present significant technical challenges, with technical success depending on the length of lesion being treated and the number of angiosomes that require treatment. Wound healing was significantly improved with direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty, as was limb salvage, with a significant increase in survival without major amputation. Indirect angioplasty, where the intervention is applied to collateral vessels to the angiosomes, yielded similar results to direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty. Applying the angiosome model of the foot in direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty improves outcomes for patients with recalcitrant diabetic foot ulcers in terms of primary wound healing, mean time for complete wound healing and major amputation-free survival.
