Abstract
Landscape painting, a vital aspect of traditional Chinese art, embodies deep philosophical and cultural meanings. This article examines its value and application in spatial design. Representing the interplay between humanity, nature, and the cosmos, landscape paintings often feature mountains, rivers, and pavilions, symbolizing the ideal coexistence of humans and nature and reflecting aspirations for an idyllic life. These paintings prompt contemplation about human existence, nature's value, and the universe's essence. In terms of spatial application, landscape paintings enhance indoor environments with their decorative elements, bringing a sense of tranquility and natural harmony that promotes relaxation and well-being. Outdoors, their influence extends similarly, enriching spaces aesthetically and spiritually. Landscape painting's integration of philosophical depth and spatial utility underscores its enduring significance in Chinese culture and contemporary design.
