Abstract

Piano teaching plays a crucial role in nurturing students' musical abilities. In piano tea ching, it is essential for teachers to focus on developing students' musical sense and employ various teaching methods to enhance their knowledge and skills in music. Acc urate mastery of musical sense is vital for successful musical performances as it allow s performers to better express the music. Unlike other musical instruments, piano performance heavily relies on a deep understanding of musical sense, as it directly or indirectly impacts the overall quality of the performance. Therefore, besides teaching the fundamentals of piano, it is also important to train students in mastering musical abilities. Developing musical sense requires collaboration across multiple aspects. This study aims to analyze the cultivation of musical sense in piano teaching, with the goal of effectively enhancing students' musical abilities. Currently, there are some issues in piano teaching that contribute to a lack of musical knowledge and hinder students' musical literacy. Hence, piano teachers need to employ different teaching methods to improve students' musical abilities and skills. The cultivation of piano music sense is built upon the mastery of basic skills. To achieve an ideal piano music sense, students need to practice various aspects. Enhancing students' musical sense can stimulate their enthusiasm for piano learning, thereby improving the efficiency of their piano education. This teaching approach is highly beneficial for students. Currently, piano teaching suffers from unbalanced and inadequate teaching content, which significantly hampers the development of musical sense and requires attention from both teachers and students.

Abstract

Atherosclerotic disease significantly impacts patients with type 2 diabetes, who often present with recalcitrant peripheral ulcers. The angiosome model of the foot presents an opportunity to perform direct angiosome-targeted endovascular interventions to maximise both wound healing and limb salvage. A systematic review was performed, with 17 studies included in the final review. Below-the-knee endovascular interventions present significant technical challenges, with technical success depending on the length of lesion being treated and the number of angiosomes that require treatment. Wound healing was significantly improved with direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty, as was limb salvage, with a significant increase in survival without major amputation. Indirect angioplasty, where the intervention is applied to collateral vessels to the angiosomes, yielded similar results to direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty. Applying the angiosome model of the foot in direct angiosome-targeted angioplasty improves outcomes for patients with recalcitrant diabetic foot ulcers in terms of primary wound healing, mean time for complete wound healing and major amputation-free survival.
